Happy 1st day of March! Does anyone else feel like this year is just flying by? It feels like Christmas was just yesterday! Also, please excuse my super white legs, I’m in major need of a spray tan! πŸ™‚

This is week number 2 of How To Wear A Graphic Tee (if you missed week 1, click here). This week I am styling a graphic tee with a suede skirt (this skirt has been featured on Styled Muse before in this post). You can also wear a graphic tee with other types of skirts like this floral oneΒ or this tulle skirt. Of course, I paired this graphic tee with a blazer (love them), statement necklace, and booties. I linked everything above, but if something is sold out, then I linked similar options.

I know I have probably said this before, but graphic tees are so versatile. They can easily be dressed up or down! I always seem to find really cute ones on the Target clearance rack, which leads to me having way more than I need in my closet. Luckily, my full time job doesn’t have a dress code (most people just wear sweatpants, no joke), so I always wear them there… with yoga pants, haha!

What is your favorite way to style a graphic tee? Let me know in the comments! Also, don’t forget to sign up with your e-mail to receive post updates straight to your inbox!

Instagram Roundup

Happy Friday! I am so happy it is finally the weekend. I felt like this week was never going to end.

I decided to do an Instagram roundup today, since I haven’t done one in a long time! I noticed a lot of my readers come from Facebook and don’t have an Instagram account, so this is a perfect time to find out where everything is from!

Everything in each photo is tagged with a link to where I purchased the item. If the item is sold out, I tagged a similar one.

Happy Hump Day! I’m happy to announce that I finally have a new laptop! Which means more photos (and ones that are edited) haha! I’m really excited to start this new series on how to wear a graphic tee! Each Wednesday for the next 3 weeks, I will be posting a new outfit with this same graphic tee, to give you ideas on how to wear them. I will also be giving you other ideas that aren’t photographed.

For week one, I kept it basic with jeans and a blazer (of course you don’t have to wear a blazer, it was just chilly when I was photographing these haha). To dress it down a bit, you can wear flats, or white converse (my fav). I love adding a statement necklace and bright colored lip to pull the look together.

The fold over leopard clutch is originally from Accessory Lane, but is currently sold out so I tagged two different options for you. I will let everyone know when this exact one is back in stock. It has become my new favorite bag, and it also has a chain strap to make it a cross body bag!

What is your favorite way to wear a graphic tee? Let me know in the comments!

Like I’m sure I have mentioned before, (like a million times before) I love Valentine’s Day. This is one holiday where I can dress up in a red cocktail dress and nude heels and not seem overdressed. I had the cutest outfit planned out for a Valentine’s Day shoot, but of course the weather didn’t cooperate and my photographer (aka my sister) was super busy with school and wasn’t available. Don’t worry, I have a plan for the outfit, so you will see it soon! So in place of a Valentine’s shoot, IΒ created a few looks with this guide! These outfits are perfect for going out to dinner on Valentine’s Day. Each dress is under $100!

My favorite dresses for winter are the ones with long sleeves. They will keep you warm while also looking chic. You can also wear tights under any dress to keep warm (my favorite thing to do). For dress colors, think red and pink. But you can also go with a black dress and wear red or pink accent jewelry.

Which look is your favorite? I’m stuck between number 1 and 4.Β Let me know in the comments!

I have that Gwen Stefani Urban Decay palette, and it is amazing! It’s seriously a must have. I will have a full review of it on the blog soon, so keep an eye out!

Happy Tuesday! Is everyone needing coffee today? I know I am. First of all, I was FINALLY able to take outfit photos! The weather in STL has been crazy, and didn’t make for very good photo shoot weather, until this past weekend! It was 60 degrees! Second, I apologize for the quality of these photos (I promise they were taken with my DSLR!). Sadly, my computer crashed (we think the hard drive is fried 😦 ) and my uncle is in the process of trying to save it. So in the mean time, I have to use my boyfriends laptop, which doesn’t have Photoshop, which means I have to use the photo editing software on my phone, and from them being e-mailed back and forth so many times, the quality goes down. So please bear with me until I get my laptop back. If you know of any free editing software, please let me know!

Anyways, this winter I have been all about oversized sweaters. They are the perfect winter staple that you can dress up or down. I found this one for under $14 on the Target clearance rack! This one can be worn off the shoulder (my fav) or normally. Since it’s not online, I listed a similar one above that’s on sale for under $20. I love wearing a statement necklace and a pair of booties with mine. Everything is tagged above. If something is sold out, I tagged a similar item.

Also… what do you think of my hair? I may have chopped it off over the weekend πŸ™‚ . I have been letting my hair grow for so long, and needed a little bit of a change! But now, my hair feels so much healthier, has a lot of volume, and takes way less time to style! So far I love it πŸ™‚ .

Have a great week!

What’s In My Bag: Small Edition

IMG_1788

IMG_1789

IMG_1790

Happy Monday, loves! I hope everyone had a great weekend. And what about that Patriots v. Broncos football game yesterday!? Go Broncos!

Haha anyways, every wonder what you should keep in a small bag when you are out to dinner or for a few drinks with the girls? Well I’m about to help you out!

  1. Small bag: first of all, it’s best to carry a small bag around with you when you are just going to dinner or a few drinks. I don’t know about you guys, but it’s always hard trying to find a place to store my big bag when I’m in a small crowded bar, am I right? This bag is just the right size to hold everything I need, and isn’t too big. You can find a similar one HERE! You can find the puff ball HERE.
  2. Wallet: to fit my small bag, I usually only carry around a small one that holds my most important cards and cash. I love this one from target.
  3. A few obvious things would be my sunglassesΒ (I can’t go anywhere without them), keys (similar key chain HERE), and breath mints or gum.
  4. Hand lotion: during the winter months, my hands are always super dry, so I like to carry a small thing of hand lotion everywhere I go. This one is the perfect size and works great!
  5. Lip moisturizer: I have the same problem with my lips as I do my hands, they get super dry! So I keep 2 different types of moisturizer with me this one I use to moisturize my lips if I want a tint to it. And this one for just a normal moisturizer.
  6. Lip color: Whatever lipstick or lip gloss I decided to apply, I always carry with me for touch ups. I love this matte liquid lipstick from Colourpop!
  7. The last thing I carry with me is my Blur Perfecter from YSL. Whenever my face gets oily, I apply this over my makeup to get rid of the shine. There is also a mirror in it, so I can also use it as a compact!

If you are carrying a smaller bag than this, you can get rid of the lip moisturizer and hand lotion (I can just get a little OCD about applying moisturizer in the winter months! πŸ™‚ )

What do you like to carry in your small bag when you go out? Let me know in the comments, and don’t forget to subscribe for updates on new posts!

Fall Transition

Happy hump day! I know some of you are wondering where my Naked Smoky Palette review is, and why this post wasn’t posted on Monday. Well, let’s just say this has been one heck of a week. Last week my mom was having a few health issues that made her be admitted to the hospital for a day and a half, which lead to doctor’s appointments, etc. But now that things are back to normal (and my mommy is okay!), I will plan another day for the Naked Smoky Palette (I promise!).

So, this is part two of the Perfect Tunic! Last week I showed you how to wear this white tunic during the summer, now I’m showing you how to wear it in the fall. Like I mentioned in last weeks post, this is the PERFECT summer to fall transition piece that you must have in your closet!

To make this a fall outfit, I added a black blazer and closed toed booties. I also wore my RockBox set necklaces to add the perfect touch (I will be doing a post on necklace layering with these adorable necklaces next week). Everything is linked below, besides the clutch that was sold out, so I linked a similar one:

Tunic // Jeans // Blazer // Booties // Clutch // Necklace (use code VALERIEBFF89 for your first month free)

The Perfect Tunic

Happy Monday, fashionistas! I hope everyone had a relaxing weekend. Even though I’m not fully ready to say goodbye to summer, I spent this weekend doing a little fall shopping. I found the BEST deals on jeans (Target had them 40% off!). I will do a blog post on some of my favorite fall jeans later on.

Lately, I have been on the hunt for tops that would transition perfectly from summer to fall. I found this tunic during the Nordstrom anniversary sale, and thought it would be a perfect transition piece. It comes in 7 colors. Yes, SEVEN. The color I am wearing here is Ivory. I eventually would love to have the Olive color in my closet!

For summer, you can pair it with jeans (for chilly nights) like I did here, or a pair of black high waisted shorts (for the warmer days). For the fall you can wear a black blazer over it with a pair of booties (I will feature that outfit next week).

I tagged the exact tunic, jeans and heels. The clutch and bib necklace are currently sold out, so I tagged similar items:

Tunic // Jeans // Heels // Clutch // Bib Necklace

Have a great week, everyone! I will be reviewing the Naked Smoky Palette on Wednesday!
