Happy Friday! I’m so excited that it’s the weekend. I’m literally going to spend all weekend in the pool, hoping to get a little bit of a tan!

I received my July Ipsy bag last week, and I’m really loving some of the products I got! If you don’t know what Ipsy is, it’s a monthly subscription service where you get samples of makeup and beauty products delivered to your door for only $10 a month! All of your samples come in a cute collectible makeup bag. This months theme was summer! Click HERE to try it out!

Read My Lips lipstick by Teeez Cosmetics: I really love the color of this lipstick. I’m excited to wear it longer to see how long it lasts!

Eau Thermale Avene Cleanance Gel Soapless Cleanser: I’m kind of iffy on this product, not sure how it’s going to work since it’s soapless, but we will see!

City Color Cosmetics HD Powder: I haven’t had a chance to try this out yet, but I will give it a try this weekend!

Crown Brush Professional Tweezers: I love these tweezers! It makes tweezing my eyebrows easier, and will be using these from now on!

Jor’el Parker Classico Perfume: I’m super picky about my perfume, and I have to say this isn’t my favorite. The smell kind of reminds me of sunscreen, but it goes with the monthly theme I guess?

Have a great weekend everyone!

Ipsy June Glam Bag

A month ago, one of my friends posted a photo of her monthly Ipsy bag. I asked her what exactly it was, and she explained that Ipsy is a monthly subscription service where they send you samples of makeup in an adorable makeup bag once a month for only $10. Of course I was all about this a decided to sign up.

When I came home from work one day, I noticed a hot pink package in my mailbox (see photo above) and to my surprise it was my Ipsy bag! This month in the June Glam Bag, the topic is all about “Swimming into Beauty”. So all month long, Ipsy has been posting on their Instagram about everything summer, from mermaids to beaches (which is really making me want to take a beach vacation right about now).

Here are the items I received in my bag:
1. Trestique mini shadow crayon
2. Aurora Gel Effect nail lacquer
3. Smashbox Photo Finish foundation primer
4. it Cosmetics Brow Power universal eyebrow pencil
5. Altchek MD DePuff Eye Pads

Since this month was all about summer, the makeup bag was inspired by wetsuits and swim wear, so the material is neoprene and has a water-resistant lining and will dry quickly if it gets wet. This bag is perfect to take to the beach with you!

So far, I have tried the eye shadow crayon and primer, and love them both! I’m excited to try the rest of the products, especially the nail polish, I love the hot pink color!

Have you received your Ipsy June Glam Bag yet? Tag me in your photos so I can see what you got!

Airbrush Legs

Summer is just around the corner, and what does that mean? Getting that perfect tan! But before pools open and beach days start, there are other ways of getting that glow: sunless tanners.

I signed up with Influenster to test products, and one item I received was Airbrush Legs by Sally Hansen! It’s a temporary leg makeup that can be easily washed off with soap and water at the end up the day.

It goes on smooth without streaks and does give you the perfect summer glow (as you can see in the photo above). My legs are pasty white, and after applying this product they actually had a natural looking color. The downfall? It rubs off on literally everything. My white rug now has orange spots where I was sitting (I mean, I guess it probably wasn’t a good idea in the first place… but it looked great for the photo, right?)  It is also really messy, I somehow managed to splatter it on my bathroom floor, sink, and bathroom rug. Luckily it came right off with makeup remover wipes.

After trying this product, I decided it wasn’t for me. I have always used Jergens Natural Glow moisturizer and plan to stick with it.

Have you tried the Sally Hansen leg makeup? What did you think? Let me know in the comments below!
